In recent years, Apple has begun to make noises about dipping its toe into actual production of content.
According to ScreenRant, now the tech giant is starting to get down to brass tacks.
The WSJ reports Apple plans to spend $1 billion in order to “procure and produce original content” over the course of the next year.
That’s roughly equal to what Amazon spent in 2013, its first year in the original content business.
